Privacy
Two different things happen on this site, and they are kept separate. Anything you deliberately send us is handled as a message from a person. Everything else is counting, and is not tied to you.
What you send us
The contact form collects a name, an email address, an optional company and a message. That is personal information, and it is treated as such.
It is delivered to [email protected] by a transactional email provider, Resend, which relays the message and does not keep it as a record for us. Nothing you type into that form is stored on this website, placed in a database, or used for anything other than replying to you. We keep the resulting email as long as the conversation it belongs to is useful, and delete it when it is not.
Submissions pass through Cloudflare Turnstile, an anti-spam check that decides whether a submission looks automated. Cloudflare states that Turnstile does not use cookies for this purpose.
What we count
We measure how the site is used, because we want to know whether a business card leads anyone here and whether this page is worth keeping. Two tools do that.
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views. Cloudflare states that it does not use cookies, local storage or fingerprinting, and derives its measurements from the page load itself. It records information such as the page opened, the referring site, the country and the general device type.
Cloudflare Zaraz records what is done on a page: that a contact was saved, that an email address or phone number was selected, that a link was followed. Each of those carries which card the visit came from, an optional campaign code, and the page's language and theme. It does not carry a name, an address, a phone number, or anything typed into a form.
These are designed to tell us that a thing happened, not who did it. We do not set out to identify individual visitors and we do not combine this information with anything that would. We will not claim it is impossible for anyone to ever be inferred from usage data, because that is not a claim anyone can honestly make.
What happens regardless
This site is served through Cloudflare, so requests reach Cloudflare's network before they reach the site. Like any web infrastructure, that involves your IP address and request details being processed in order to deliver the page and to protect it from abuse. That is inherent to visiting any website, not something added for measurement.
Where the information goes
DAxWorks is based in Montreal, Canada. Cloudflare and Resend are United States companies operating global infrastructure, so information handled by them may be processed outside Quebec and outside Canada.
The business card page
The profile at /jb is public to anyone holding its link and is kept out of search results. Being kept out of search results controls discovery, not access: everything shown there should be treated as public.
Asking us about this
Write to [email protected] with any question about this page, including a request to see or delete a message you have sent us.
